Nick Sirris

Nick Sirris, M.A. is a software engineer at the Directorate for the Administration of the National Archive of Monuments. Since 2017 he has been responsible for the analysis, support and following the development process for two major projects:

  • Archaeological Cadaster, which contains data concerning the archaeological sites, the immovable monuments and the real estate of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
  • The Information System of Moveable where the all movable monuments protected by the Hellenic legislation (sited in public or private museums, collections and other sites) are registered.

From 2002-2017 he was ICT System Administrator and Software Developer at the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy, Athens (Greece), and responsible for the continuous and proper operation of RAE's information system. He has been responsible for the analysis, support and following the development process for RAE’S GeoPortal. Previously (1999-2002), he worked as HP Professional Service Engineer, as well as a technician in various posts.
A holder of a MA in Classical Archaeology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2019), MSc with distinction in Information Technology with Management (University of Paisley, Blantyre, UK, 2005), Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology and Management (ATEI Piraeus, Greece, 2002), and Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering (ATEI Piraeus, Greece, 1997).
