Apostolos Garyfallopoulos

PhD Candidate in Classical Archaeology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Apostolos Garyfallopoulos conducts his doctoral research on the use and distribution of Roman pottery in Macedonia at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the support of the A.G. Leventis Foundation. His research interests comprise the categories of terra sigillata pottery and their evolution, and the iconography, trade routes and economic life in Greco-Roman antiquity. In this context, he studies ceramics from sites in Macedonia and the wider region of Northern Greece.
